How it works

  1. 01

    Symptoms and history

We talk about what you feel: sleep, energy, mood, weight, libido, hot flashes, and your personal and family history.

  2. 02

    Lab work

Blood tests show your hormone levels and other markers that matter for a safe plan.

  3. 03

    Your plan

If hormone therapy is appropriate, our Nurse Practitioner explains the options and the form of treatment that fits your routine.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

We repeat labs and review symptoms over time, adjusting the dose so you feel better with the lowest effective amount.

Hormone therapy for women

Perimenopause and menopause can bring hot flashes, night sweats, poor sleep, mood changes, brain fog, weight gain around the waist and low libido. Hormone therapy can relieve many of these symptoms when it is appropriate for you.

We often use bioidentical hormones, which have the same structure as the hormones your body makes. Learn more on our page about bioidentical hormones for menopause.

Testosterone therapy for men

Low testosterone can show up as fatigue, low motivation, loss of muscle, weight gain and low libido. We offer testosterone therapy for men after an evaluation and lab work.

Testosterone is a controlled medication, and prescribing follows current federal and state rules. That means the start of treatment depends on your evaluation and lab results, never on a single visit.

Peptide therapy

Some patients also ask about peptide therapy. When it is appropriate, our Nurse Practitioner discusses peptide options as part of a broader plan for energy, recovery and body composition.

Is hormone therapy safe?

For many people it is a safe and effective option when it is prescribed after a careful evaluation and monitored over time. It is not for everyone: a history of certain cancers, blood clots, stroke or liver disease can change the plan. That is why every plan starts with your history and labs.

Frequently asked questions

How much does hormone replacement therapy cost in Orlando?

At Homa Institute, membership plans start at $149.90 per month, with a one-time $100 enrollment fee and a 6-month minimum. Lab work and medication may be billed separately. Your exact plan is confirmed at your evaluation.

How soon will I feel a difference?

Some people notice changes in sleep or hot flashes within a few weeks; for others it takes a few months and some dose adjustments. Everyone responds differently.

Do I need lab work before starting?

Yes. We do not prescribe hormones without an evaluation and lab work, and we repeat labs during treatment to keep your plan safe.

What is the difference between bioidentical and synthetic hormones?

Bioidentical hormones have the same molecular structure as the hormones your body produces. Synthetic hormones are similar but not identical. Both have a role; our Nurse Practitioner explains the options for your case.

Do you treat men?

Yes. We offer testosterone therapy for men after an evaluation and lab work. The start of treatment depends on your results and on current prescribing rules.

Can hormone therapy help with weight gain?

Balancing hormones can help with energy, sleep and how your body handles weight, but it is not a weight loss treatment on its own. Many patients combine it with our medical weight loss program.
